Minas Berberyan and the Vivente Quartet

Waverley Homestead, September 2013

On Sunday September 1, the Vivente Quartet performed at Waverley Homestead with a Fathers Day Concert.

The first day of spring brought beautiful sunshine and a capacity crowd came to listen to the quartet who played Mozart first and then a poignant Beethoven piece.

Minas Berberyan is a long term friend and performer for STARS and along with his wife and two other members of the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra he charmed the  audience with his interesting stories of composers including one from Adelaide who composed an eclectic piece featuring the sound of an old broken down windmill in the outback.

The second half featured Piazzola and everyone cheered the quartet.

Minas commented on the receptive STARS audience and his willingness to return next year.
